Originally a dyed piece more akin to "Poppy Pipes", "La Montaña Sagrada" morphed over 2 years of layering into a true mixed media monolith.  The base layer is a simple tinted muslin this original armiture was decorated with pen and coated with its first layer of sealant- a simple water-based collage paste. Subsequent layers of dye, engrossing ink, paints, printing fluids followed, suspended between crystal coats of epoxy resin.  The effect is an energetic piece with much depth, tactility, and narrative.
