Yoko Yamamoto has been working on the "Diaries of a Kagurazaka Woman" from 1983-2001. Drawing on childhood memories she returned to this locale and has been carefully recording the traditional Geisha who live in this district. Her artistic endeavors have the full support of the Geisha's Union.
